Dirtbag Of The Month

I've never been a big fan of Girls Gone Wild but you gotta give Joe Francis credit for coming up with a very simple premise (get 18 year olds drunk on Spring Break, ask them lift up their shirts and maybe tongue kiss the girl next to them and market and sell these DVD's on late night cable stations) and then go on to make shit loads of cash in the process.

When I see these girls who've participated in this debauched stupidity (not ALL debauched stupidity is bad but flashing your titties ON CAMERA!? NAH I THINK I'LL PASS!) I think "Gee your parents must be so proud!" Nothing reinforces the idea that you have a high sense of self-respect than being featured in a Girls Gone Wild scene! And really, I don't consider myself a prude. There are worse things you could do I suppose. But it just doesn't seem that smart in the long run to do this and these girls aren't thinking about potential consequences later on down the road. I know that Joe Francis knows this and doesn't really give a fuck if a girl's life is ruined because he has a Mexican villa/mansion to maintain. It's just business right? And these young girls are willing to do it (albeit they are DRUNK GIRLS) so what's the fuss all about?

Because of his disregard for what can happen to these girls, he has been sued by several of them. I don't know what the particular details are and exactly what happened there but somebody went after him. So during negotiations he apparently went apeshit with the attorneys (NOT COOL JOE FRANCIS! SO NOT COOL!) and the judge ordered him in contempt and now Joe is in a Panama City jail cell! Oh don't worry, he probably got out faster than I could type this. But what got him there in the first place is that he is being sued for exploiting girls. And like Catherine Zeta-Jones sang in the movie Chicago:

HE HAD IT COMIN! HE ONLY HAD HIMSELF TO BLAME...

P.S. I gotta say I like the mugshot smile. If I ever get arrested (and I never have and really don't plan to but... if I ever do...) I'll smile my biggest smile EVER!
